PKH will be there at the Missions Evening! So please join us at our booth if you are around the corner and take this opportunity to get to know us and learn more about the project! You will also have a chance to purchase ethnic hand-crafted Cambodian products for Christmas.

Here is the breakdown of the programme for the evening:

  1. The Missions Bazaar, 6-8pm (open to all)
    Venue:  The CNS Amphitheatre
    Admission: Free of charge; all are welcome.
  2. The Missions Dinner, 7-930pm
    Venue:  The CNS B1 Halls
    Admission: By tickets priced at $12 per adults and $6 per child.

All contributions will be used solely for the work of helping the poor and needy within the scope of PKH and not for administrative costs / overheads.

The Project Khmer H.O.P.E. Tour 2016 is on!

Dear Friends,

PKHCambodia would like to invite you to join us on our tour to Cambodia on the 10-13th September 2016 (the 12th is a Singapore public holiday).

The general itinerary includes:

  • A visit to all 3 PKH Centres plus PKH’s new Tuition Centre in Kampong Speu
  • Food distribution to poor villagers
  • Observe PKH vocational training classes
  • Be part of the PKH Alumni dinner
  • Sightsee in Phnom Penh
  • Time of fellowship with one another

O Come All Ye Faithful – Christmas with Harrow School

6.30pm Pre-Concert Reception at the South Transept Hall. Meet and mingle with the choir & friends of Project Khmer Hope (PKH). Light refreshments will be served.

7.30pm Performance begins.
The Byron Consort of Harrow School choir will present Advent songs acapella and songs accompanied by the pipe organ in the Nave of St Andrew’s Cathedral. There will also be a presentation on Project Khmer H.O.P.E.

Dress code: Formal or Smart-casual

A free-will offering will be taken up during the Concert to raise the funds needed for PKH’s work.

The Byron Consort of Harrow School

Harrow School is one of the oldest and most famous schools in England, educating over 800 boys, all full boarders. Among its illustrious alumni, Winston Churchill is probably the best known.

The Byron Consort is Harrow’s elite vocal ensemble, founded in 2001 by Philip Evans (then Assistant Director of Music and now a House Master at Harrow) who continues to direct the choir. It consists of around eighteen Harrow boys and four adults. The choir sings a mixture of unaccompanied sacred and secular music, most of which comes from the Renaissance, Romantic and Modern periods. Many of the boys are ex-choristers from leading cathedral and collegiate choirs such as Westminster Abbey, King’s College Cambridge, Canterbury, Westminster and Winchester Cathedrals, St. George’s Chapel Windsor and Christ Church Cathedral Oxford, as well as a former member of the Vienna Boys’ Choir.

Since its inception, the choir has sung regularly at services and concerts at Harrow as well as St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Westminster, Winchester, Canterbury and Chichester Cathedrals, St George’s Chapel Windsor Castle and various college Chapels in Oxford and Cambridge.

The choir has performed on 14 overseas trips, including Venice, Florence Vienna, Salzburg, Stockholm, Washington, in many notable venues: St Peter’s Basilica in Rome, St Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow and Trinity Wall Street & St John the Divine Cathedral in New York City.

This year is its first Asian trip to Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai, in December 2015. To find out more about them, watch youtube via this link .
